THE FURIOUS FORCE OF RHYMES

Originating from South Bronx, Rap music has found adherents in every country in the world. Traveling through four continents, the award-winning documentary is a fascinating look at Hip-Hop as trans-national protest music, with characters as diverse as old school Bronx B-Boys, East German skinheads, Israeli Jews, Palestinian activists, Afro-French immigrants, and West African feminists, all sharing a common musical language. Recognizing themselves in the oppression of U.S. Blacks, people everywhere have adapted the American street music to their own causes.
