A Presentation and Book Signing with Nyack resident, Jim Glaser
“Plains Vision – An experience on the Great Plains of Saskatchewan”
In June of 2014, as a retired teacher and poet living in New York, I traveled to Eastend, Saskatchewan, Canada, for a one month writer’s residency at the Wallace Stegner House. Buried in a huge, picturesque, yet barren region of the Great Plains, this land, at first, seemed closed, lifeless, overwhelming. And then it changed for me. How? How did it open? I can only say “imagination.” I do not use that word to mean “not real” but to mean “ gradually opening from both sides.” That is my story.
