Terrence & Tillie-Reading/Play

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
The Nyack Library
Community/Meeting Room

Event Details

Terrence is an aging actor who fears that his career
is coming to an end. He wrote over the years, many
notes and anecdotes of some of his experiences as
a young man in England which caused him to
become an actor. A publisher friend advised him to
put those notes into what could be a very
interesting and popular book. So, he enlists the help
of an assistant to help him write the book.

Tillie a woman who is in terrible need of a job. She is
on the verge of losing her apartment and becoming
homeless...her most desperate fear.
Both lonely people have isolated themselves from
people and perhaps because of this isolation their
newly found “relationship” is viewed in such a poignant way.
As the play progresses we get to hear the REAL
people discuss the events of their actual lives. We
get to know who they are, laugh with them, cry with
them and ultimately understand why they form such
a good bond that surely will endure.
