The Nyack Seed Exchange and Nyack Library present a workshop:

In Praise Of Ferment-What connects pickles, bread, wine, cheese and chocolate?  Fermentation.

Sample some mead (honey wine) and leave with the brined cucumbers we will make- watch them turn into pickles at home. 

Bob Klein has been fascinated by fermentation since reading Sandor Katz’s "Wild Fermentation” many years ago. He owns Mysto Mead, a company that ferments honey and herbs into mead, the world's first alcoholic beverage.
